I was researching artist birthdays when I stumbled across this tune. It’s a collaboration between Mike Watt (bassist for the Minutemen), Stephen Hodges (drummer for Tom Waits & David Lynch), and a forward-thinking American violinist named Chris Murphy (about whom I know nothing). But its a cool little funky jam, with electric violin, and a great groove, so I wanted to post it nonetheless.
Today is also Charles Bukowski’s birthday; although Bukowski was known to be very fond of classical music, he is said to have hated all forms of rock and roll. So it is with tongue planted firmly in cheek that I share this song, as a mocking tribute to a great writer.
Really liked this whole sound!
Thanks Judy! It’s a groovy tune.
